Global Proclamation Congress for Pastoral Trainers
June 15-22, 2016
Location: Bangkok, Thailand
In 2010, RREACH launched a 10-year human capital campaign called the Global Proclamation Commission. The mission: 100,000 more and better-trained pastors by 2020, contributing to our vision of spiritual health for One Billion Individuals by 2030.
As part of this campaign, we spent more than four years planning for The Global Proclamation Congress for Pastoral Trainers—a specialized global event (the first of its kind) to connect, unite and strengthen those involved in pastoral training of any kind, anywhere.
An estimated 2 million plus pastors, particularly in Asia, Africa and Latin America, are undertrained and isolated. The GProCongress was designed to help trainers of pastors, from both formal and non-formal sectors, build community, explore opportunity, discover resources and exchange encouragement.
Through God’s provision, more than 2,500 participants from over 100 countries were in attendance.
More effective because of their participation, GProCongress participants will have greater impact in training pastors to preach, live and think biblically, thus providing mid-decade momentum to the Global Proclamation Commission to deliver spiritual health worldwide.
Follow-up
The GProCongress served as a launching pad for the Global Proclamation Commission for Trainers of Pastors—a four-year effort to follow up with delegates in order to extend the goals of the GProCongress. The follow up effort is conducted through two main platforms:
- GProConneXt.com is a private, invitation-only online social platform for connecting pastoral trainers and pastoral leaders. Currently it includes more than 3,000 users. For more information on GProConneXt.com, click here.
- GProCentral is a team of localized staff members who connect with pastoral trainers and pastoral leaders through variety of mediums from phone calls to online messaging. For more information on GProCentral, click here.
