Only God

RREACH’s first operational value is “Only God.” One way we recognize and live our dependence on Him is by beginning, covering and ending every aspect of ministry in prayer, with thanksgiving.
Dr. Richard says, “Prayer precedes ministry,” and as the Lord continues to open doors for his ministry, we realize afresh the need for prayer.
Please take a moment to pray and praise over the updates on this page, featuring a daily prayer calendar at the beginning of each month. Also let us know how we can pray for you!

Prayer Updates

In his words: Ramesh Richard March 2020 update | March 24, 2020

Dear praying friends,

Podcasts! Know what they are? I am becoming convinced that podcasts are better than mere videos in delivering content to more engaged, niche audiences. LifeRocks our podcast has begun. Please pray for deep and wide reach into pre-Christians. You can even sign up by clicking here.

I kept a U.S. oriented speaking itinerary last month. Eighteen men from a rural congregation heard me at a Baptist campsite. Then I spoke at a new congregation of 100+ being established in far North Texas, with all the excitement of a start-up.

Hurried overnight advancement trips to Nashville—15 meetings in 28 hours—and Atlanta—to attend the gala of a sister ministry—were tiring, but tremendous.

Pastoral visits with the two finest preachers in America—one grieving from the loss of his beloved and the other recovering from major surgery—are return expressions of blessed friendships of decades. Oh yes, I should not forget board and staff meetings, which keep ministry mechanisms legal and viable.

GProAcademy Chad in West Africa graduated 25 young pastoral leaders of whom 19 had malaria while going through the program. A global mobilization team is working on bringing the right 500 to the October GProCongress Latin America and the Caribbean. Please pray for their reach into candidates with thousands of phone calls and messages. Also, the June 2020 Dallas GProAcademy is looking for U.S. visas for 25 younger pastoral leaders. We have 10 more to go. The situation is formidable. Please pray.

My greatest joy last month was the launch of a monthly prayer video conference call. You can join from any part of the world for a fast 30 minutes of guided prayer for this ministry. Will you join us?  Thanks for not letting us run out of fuel by your prayers. I especially need them as we make major decisions in the coming weeks for the rest of 2020.

Join our prayer call today, March 20, 2020

Greetings, dear Prayer Supporters!

I would like to invite you to participate in RREACH’s virtual prayer gathering this Thursday, March 19, at 8 p.m. U.S. Central Daylight Savings Time.

During the 30-minute call, we will share updates and pray over the ministry. You will be able to connect either through a video conference or by audio only.

All you need to do is click on this link, RREACH: Pray with Us, and sign up. You will then receive instructions how to connect to the call, as well as reminders of the call.

Your prayer support has meant more than we can say and, the Lord willing, we look forward to praying together with you.

Botswana update from Dr. Richard | March 13, 2020

Dear praying friends,

With thanks to each one who prayed for my decision and even wrote of your support, I am now in Botswana, having made a decision to proceed on the missionary journeys, unless prohibited from entry. I didn't show any fever on their thermometer, but they have permitted me in provisionally. Indeed, all of life is provisional!

In the time being, I invite you to continue to pray for me to well-serve God's Word personally—high-level pre-evangelism outreach to opinion leaders and reinforcing pastoral leaders—with hope around the one thing on everyone's mind worldwide.

Our world faces tempestuous times, doesn't it? And we in the middle of our own vulnerabilities still must serve with a robust view of God—the reason I regularly pray for His total protection, global provision and manifest presence.

Should all things go as projected, but not predicted, I am to be back home in about a week's time, whether needing to be under self-quarantine I do not know, since I am not serving in a Level 1–3 region for the virus. You should hear back from us in some form with an update ... but in this note wanted to follow our practice of reporting on prayer requests with appropriate thanks to His people and always inadequate thanks to God.

Urgent prayer request from Dr. Richard | March 11, 2020

Dear praying friends,

As Dr. Richard finishes meetings in South Africa, he requests prayer as follows:

Would you kindly pray about whether I should go on to two other countries (Botswana and Lesotho) or find a way back home? Since their health systems are not as strong, they have moved U.S passports from Category 2 to Category 1 risk.

If I do arrive there, I would rather not be arbitrarily placed in their quarantine...and a 14-day self-quarantine in Africa may be challenging...am traveling with carry-on only!

We need to make a decision in about 12 hours...noon on Thursday U.S. Central Daylight Savings Time.

Grateful for the Sovereign One who will strengthen me to endure and even embrace all circumstances for the advance of the Gospel. (Phil. 4:12-13)

Thanks so much for your care in prayer.

ramesh richard

Moving forward in faith | March 8, 2020

Dear praying friends,

You are invited to join our next virtual prayer gathering on Thursday, March 19, at 8:00 p.m. U.S. Central Daylight Savings Time. For more information, please email Melissa@rreach.org or call +1 972-528-6100.

In brief:

Praise God for the growing registration list for the Global Proclamation Congress for Trainers of Pastors of Latin America and the Caribbean; pray for many more registrations.

Pray for the 2020 Dallas Global Proclamation Academy candidates still applying for visas.

Pray for Dr. Richard’s trip to several countries in the south of Africa.

Praise God for sustaining the graduates of GPA Chad. Pray for upcoming national GPAs.

The bigger picture:

The latest count of trainers of pastors registered for the GProLATAM&CARIB Congress is 151. Praise God! Pray for the team working diligently to mobilize the right 500. Pray for those who wish to attend but are hesitating to register because of potential airfare costs. RREACH is covering all their conference costs, including boarding and lodging. Pray that they will step forward in faith to register now.

We have 13 candidates for the 2020 Dallas GPA with visas. We need 12 more. Please ask God for great favor on those applying for visas (five this week). Pray for the team in Dallas as they prepare.

Dr. Richard is off on a trip to several countries in southern Africa. Pray for his health, safety and impact. Pray that he will be sensitive to God and proclaim His Word clearly and winsomely. Pray that pastoral leaders will be encouraged and pre-Christians attracted to the Lord Jesus. Praise God for Dr. Richard’s  recent fruitful trips to Nashville and Atlanta in the U.S.

Nineteen of 26 GPA Chad attendees, in addition to some organizers, came down with malaria and flu during the GPA. Praise God that they persevered to finish! Pray for His protection as they return to their ministries better able to preach and live biblically.

Please also pray for a national GPA for pastors from a closed Southeast Asian country. Organizers ask for earnest prayer regarding coronavirus and other concerns that could hinder pastors from attending.

Thank you!
