Only God

RREACH’s first operational value is “Only God.” One way we recognize and live our dependence on Him is by beginning, covering and ending every aspect of ministry in prayer, with thanksgiving.
Dr. Richard says, “Prayer precedes ministry,” and as the Lord continues to open doors for his ministry, we realize afresh the need for prayer.
Please take a moment to pray and praise over the updates on this page, featuring a daily prayer calendar at the beginning of each month. Also let us know how we can pray for you!

Prayer Updates

Ramesh still on the road | October 18, 2018

Dear praying friends,

In brief:

Praise! God is blessing Dr. Richard’s two-week, four-country trip in Asia.

Our Global Proclamation Associates event is in less than two weeks. Please pray.

Pray for the right publishing relationship for Dr. Richard’s products.

Uphold our preparation for the 2019 Dallas and national Global Proclamation Academies.

The bigger picture:

Dr. Ramesh Richard and Pastor J, 2006 Dallas GPA Philippines delegate and Global Proclamation Commission team member, participated in the recent GProCommission Church Multiply Vision Festa in Japan. Attendees expressed great appreciation for RREACH taking the risk to begin a multiplication movement in 2016 with the Global Proclamation Congress for Pastoral Trainers.

Dr. Richard has had an eventful trip in Asia. Thank you for praying! At a major gathering for pre-Christian opinion leaders last Saturday, 200 Christian marketplace professionals brought 350 colleagues/friends/family to hear about the Lord Jesus. Dr. Richard’s talk concluded the day-long event. Praise God for 38 individuals who embraced the Lord Jesus as their one and only God and Savior! Sixty-four expressed spiritual need and wanted to know more, and 99 percent of those who responded indicated interest in attending future similar events. Rejoice, and pray for the Holy Spirit’s continuing work.

Dr. Richard hopes to maximize time on this trip to prepare for the upcoming GProAssociates event. Please ask the Lord for strong and strategic, creative and comprehensive thinking. Pray for all the pastors planning to come from 27 countries. Pray for those unable to get visas in time to attend. Thank God for His sovereignty and pray that we will trust His love through this.

We would appreciate prayer for guidance as we consider partnerships with publishers for Dr. Richard’s writing projects. Ask for Dr. Richard’s materials to be made available where they can best be used to strengthen the body of Christ.

So far, we have received 60 applications and conducted 22 applicant interviews for the 2019 Dallas GPA. No pastor can just apply. Each of these young leaders must be nominated to us from a network of referees, and from those nominations we invite some to apply. Please pray for nominations of quality, qualified pastors from new and under-represented countries and for discernment of whom to invite and to accept. Pray, too, for the demanding process of scheduling and preparing for national GPAs.

Thank you again for praying!

Dear praying friends,

In brief:

Please intercede for Dr. Richard’s two-week trip through Asia.

Uphold ongoing preparations for the upcoming Global Proclamation Associates event.

Praise God for how He is exciting young pastors about preaching biblically through national Global Proclamation Academies.

Praise God for good news from a dangerous situation.

The bigger picture:

The young pastoral leaders at GPA The Gambia stand with the two Master Coaches helping them learn how to preach expository sermons, Dallas GPA 2018 grad Pastor S (in green) and Dallas GPA 2012 grad Pastor M (in turquoise blue). Pastor M also serves as national GPA facilitator for all of Africa.

Dr. Richard has departed for a busy personal proclamation and ministry training trip through four countries in Asia. His first stop includes providing the closing talk for a major event for opinion leaders. Pray that God will use this event to rescue many lost souls. After that, Dr. Richard has a quick flight to speak at the fastest-growing church in the world.

Pray, too, for his talks at a church multiplication event being held in a nation where, despite much effort, evangelical Christianity is declining. Pray for God to raise up many young pastoral leaders in this nation and region, and that their biblical proclamation of the Lord Jesus will bring many to recognize Him as Savior and Lord. Finally, pray for God’s leading in additional strategic connections Dr. Richard would like to make on this trip.

We would appreciate prayer for our ongoing preparation for the GProAssociates event coming in a few weeks. Ask the Lord for direction in planning the program and addressing logistical details. Also pray for Dr. Richard’s health and strength. He is scheduled to return from his trip just days before the GProAssociates arrive and, the Lord willing, goes into a RREACH board retreat immediately following that.

God is energizing young pastoral leaders about biblical preaching through national GPAs! The day after graduating from GPA Chile, one pastor held a youth conference for 1,100. He didn’t waste any time in emphasizing the importance of preaching correctly, even having the group memorize Dr. Richard’s seven steps for expository preaching. Remember pastors at GPA The Gambia and GPA Guyana as they wrap up this week and pray for blessing on efforts toward GPA Bolivia.

Last week we asked for prayer for pastors and families serving in danger/deprivation zones. One pastor called this week to say the conflict in the area continues, but they are now able to leave the house. The danger of being shot if seen in the street has abated. He is praising God for His goodness.

Thank you for praying!

Multi-faceted, multiplicative proclamation ministry | October 4, 2018

Dear praying friends,

In brief:

Our hearts go out to pastors choosing to serve in desperate situations around the world.

Pray for Dr. Richard’s upcoming, multi-faceted trip through several Asian countries.

Praise God for the national Global Proclamation Academies completed thus far this year and pray for the final ones.

Thank you for upholding the Global Proclamation Associates event coming in a few weeks and please continue.

The bigger picture:

The Lord willing, these young pastoral leaders will graduate from GPA Chile this week better prepared to preach, think and live biblically.

We’ve recently heard about man-made and natural disasters in Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Indonesia and Costa Rica, and we know that, sadly, many other places are going through tragic events. Would you pray with us especially for the pastors and families serving in these situations? They sacrifice much earthly comfort and gain to represent and proclaim the Lord Jesus amid crisis. Praise God for their amazing witness!

Dr. Richard plans to leave for Asia—many different parts of it—next week. Speaking at outreach events, pastoral training and church health conferences, and one of the fastest-growing churches in the world populate his schedule. Please pray that God will give him wisdom to be strategic with every moment and that the Holy Spirit will speak clearly through him. We cannot overestimate the value of praying for him!

Praise God for the 13 national GPAs that have taken place so far in 2018 and the pastors who have been connected, united and strengthened through them to better serve Christ in their communities. GPA Chile finishes this weekend and GPA The Gambia and GPA Guyana begin today. Pray for all aspects of these and for our preparation for the 2019 Dallas GPA.

In less than four weeks, the Lord willing, a group of select Dallas GPA graduates will gather in Dallas for the launching of Ramesh Richard’s Global Proclamation Associates. Please specifically uphold three pastors who have encountered obstacles in getting their U.S. visas. We are asking the Lord to intervene. Also pray for Dr. Richard and the RREACH staff as we work toward this event. Pray that the Lord Jesus will be honored and that many will draw near to Him through this ministry succession initiative.

In his words: Ramesh Richard September update | September 27, 2018

Dear praying friends,

We are well into the fall season, though still looking back at the end of summer 2018. We are grateful for several accomplishments made possible by God’s generosity through you.

Early last month, I made an overnight trip to Colorado Springs to meet the new Global Facilitator of the Trainers of Pastors International Coalition [TOPIC]. TOPIC serves as a global facilitator of collaborative efforts towards church health by training large numbers of pastoral leaders where Christ’s Church is growing. Formed by RREACH 20 years ago, it is now to be hosted under our GProCommission, which is tasked with documenting and increasing the number of pastoral trainers and pastors trained. Your prayers make organizational efficiencies happen.

I always endure the taping of LifeRocks, short videos moistening the soil for Gospel planting, but enjoy the response of those who embrace the Lord Jesus. Please enjoy these evangelistic “TED Talks” at LifeRocks.org and forward them to many pre-Christ friends. They just might be interesting, relevant and winsome enough to reach unbelieving family and friends. Your prayers make media outreach happen.

Your partnering with us helped three national Global Proclamation Academies (10-day pastoral training academies) take place in the Republic of Congo, Ecuador and Central African Republic. I video conference with each of these classes the day before their graduation. While video connections are often poor, we all rejoice in what God is doing in these diverse lands. Your prayers make pastoral training happen.

RREACH’s board committee in charge of organizational succession met to confirm our transition process into the next decade, with 2022 and 2028 as marker dates. With no presumption on our side and fully shipwrecked on God’s sovereignty, we trust that we will find the best key servants to lead each key initiative in the long term.

However, the month’s highlight was entirely personal! Those in our life-stage know there’s nothing much better than the experience of the “perfect love” of grandkids. Our family get-together in Greenville, South Carolina, provided for much sweetness. We drove to Myrtle Beach for two nights and took in family shows, good food and cooler (than Texas) weather. Praise be to God!

Thank you, dear ones, for supporting this ministry through prayer.

Lost ... and found | September 20, 2018

Dear praying friends,

In brief:

Praise God for the successful completion of a national Global Proclamation Academy (GPA) in an undisclosed Asian country.

Pray for nominations for the 2019 Dallas GPA, especially from new and under-represented countries.

Praise God: On Dr. Richard’s recent trip back from Costa Rica, the Lord put him next to a multi-millionaire who had lost his way. He was eager to talk with Dr. Richard and then trusted in the Lord Jesus!

Continue to remember the select group of Dallas GPA graduates traveling to Dallas next month, the Lord willing, for a special meeting. Pray for them to get visas and for our preparation.

Please pray for Bonnie Richard’s mother, Joyce Perry, as she faces health challenges.

We thank God for the successful completion of a national GPA in a closed Asian country. Dr. Richard was able to Skype with the 37 pastors in attendance, a great encouragement to him and them. Pray that they will be able to implement what they learned for the greater health of their churches and communities. Please uphold upcoming 2018 GPAs in Chile, The Gambia, Guyana, Bolivia and the Solomon Islands.

We have begun working toward the 2019 Dallas GPA. Please ask the Lord for direction regarding nominations already sent in and for more nominations from new and under-represented countries. Also pray for Master Coach selection and availability.

Thank you for praying for the Lord Jesus to bring people with spiritual needs across Dr. Richard’s path. On his way back from a recent trip to Costa Rica, he sat next to a multi-millionaire who was lost and knew he was lost. Dr. Richard "lost" his air time, but was able to share deep spiritual things with this man who was ready to welcome the Lord Jesus as His Savior. Please keep praying for opportunities small and large, old and new, deep and wide, for Dr. Richard to offer God's Good News. Also pray for God's protection of those coordinating outreach events.

Continue to pray for Ramesh Richard’s Global Proclamation Associates (GProAssociates) meeting in Dallas in late October. Pray for program preparation, logistical arrangements and each pastor planning to attend. Pray that this milestone event will multiply the global proclamation of the Lord Jesus Christ to God’s glory.

Please also uphold Bonnie Richard’s mother, Joyce Perry. She is facing discouraging health and housing challenges. Uphold the family as they care for her, some from long distances away.
