Prayer Updates
What is he doing? | January 29, 2018
Dear praying friends,
What in the world is Ramesh Richard doing? And where? Writing, among other things. We’ve been praying for Dr. Richard to get quality time to develop ideas and write. God has provided a precious pocket of time for this during his current trip to Southeast Asia. Please ask the Lord to bless him with clear direction, creativity and productiveness. Pray that this time will be deeply refreshing in Christ.
Ramesh also anticipates tremendous opportunities for personal proclamation along the way, the Lord willing. Pray for:
A private gathering of believers and pre-Christian friends in a place where Gospel exposure is strongly curtailed.
Sessions with mission leaders in a land where the Church is growing and, sadly, so is opposition.
Comprehensive protection.
In the area of strengthening proclaimers, intercede for:
Dallas GPA preparations – Visas remain a critical concern. Two (of two) pastors have been denied so far. Pastor C from Cote d’Ivoire, Pastor I from Macedonia, and Pastor R from St. Kitts and Nevis have appointments in the next 10 days.
National GPAs – GPA St. Lucia is set for February 1 – 10. Other upcoming ones include Zambia 2, Laos, El Salvador and Central African Republic. Our goal is the right 25 pastors at each one.
GProCommunity – New technology tools and processes are proving invaluable in serving pastoral trainers globally. The teams are working hard on set-up and learning. They also seek more colleagues, especially in Southeast Asia.
Finally, please continue to pray for good fruit from our Media Outreach messages on Peace. If you have friends wrestling with life and the idea of God, suggest LifeRocks.org. We pray they’ll find what they are looking for!

Keep praying for proclaiming | January 12, 2018
Dear praying friends,
2018 has started out like 2017 ended—eventfully. GPA Democratic Republic of Congo (East) began Jan. 4 in Goma with 30 eager pastors. They wrap up this weekend.
Pray that these young GPA DR Congo pastors will return home better equipped and connected with fellow pastors for the demands of ministry in their country of much turmoil but amazing potential. Pray, too, for the teams preparing to hold national GPAs in many other countries this year.
Turmoil characterizes much of our world today and is something Dr. Richard sees close-up in his global proclamation travels. This week, during an intimate dinner with a small group of RREACH friends, he shared a biblically grounded perspective and strategy for understanding and living in these complex and uncertain times. If you'd like to read some of what he has written on this topic, browse the articles on the RREACH website: rreach.org/articles.
The Lord willing, Ramesh plans to fly out next week to minister in two areas of the world difficult for followers of the Lord Jesus. Please ask God’s great favor on this trip—that He will use Dr. Richard to greatly encourage believers and winsomely connect with pre-Christians, some who may never have heard anything of the Gospel.
We continue to pray for the right 25 pastors, at least five from new countries, for the 2018 Dallas GPA. Being approved for a visa to travel to the U.S. is a huge challenge for many of them. Four pastors will be applying for their visas over the next couple of weeks. Please intercede for them.
Finally, continue to lift up our efforts to re-center around RREACH’s core purpose of fully exploiting—in the good way—Dr. Richard's gifting and calling to proclaim the Lord Jesus Christ, for the very best of many everywhere. Thank you!

In his words: Ramesh Richard January 2018 update | January 5, 2018
Dear praying friends,
“Happy New Year” seems trite and passé. However, with the Eternal Father of time (in His ownership), above time (in His essence), and over time (in His control), I wish you a Hope-filled New Year.
Immersed in Psalm 90 at the turn of the year, I noticed verse 9: “We end our years with a sigh!” And we did sigh, indeed, in exhaling 2017, and not necessarily with lament, though it was a tough year for some. With gratitude for God’s wisdom in numbering our fast-fleeting and frail days (v. 12), we appeal to God to display His splendor and extend His favor to us (vs. 16-17).
...we appeal to God to display His splendor and extend His favor to us...
I began last month began by personally witnessing to a brilliant airplane seat-mate from Portland to Dallas. He ended up acknowledging his need and affirming his trust in the Lord Jesus. Rejoice with me!
Then it was on to year-end business as our entire board again signed on for the next annual term. We have godly and practical counsel watching over this ministry. Fine Ministries, Operations and Advancement reports affirmed the excellence of this work.
I dashed off on a two-day trip to Costa Rica, where RREACH established a Chair of Biblical Preaching and Pastoral Ministries at ESEPA, a foremost Central America seminary. We wish to elevate the local church and advance the cause of biblical Preaching through key schools like this worldwide. On the flight back, I got to sow seeds and shake the belief of a young, bright Jewish/Costa Rican businessman. We are following up with LifeRocks thoughts and videos.
The month’s ministry highlight was an intense, three-day gathering of our Ministries staff around a singular priority: How do we enhance RREACH’s “I Proclaim” (iPro) core in order to affirm our charter, uniqueness and mission? We are beginning a short-term (2018-2020) balancing for strength and implementation. Thank you always for standing with us.
Very soon, I am to re-enter the classroom at Dallas Seminary. I have enjoyed getting prepared for these educational encounters with the future of the Church, especially in America. I am glad I am able to contribute to this great land, too, in fulfilling the “worldwide” part of our Mission and our Lord’s Final Commission. Thank you for once again being a part of this personal, biblical and global ministry in changing the way One Billion Individuals think and hear about the Lord Jesus Christ.

The fullness of His timing | December 28, 2017
Dear praying friends,
People prayed a very long time for the Messiah; God answered in “the fullness of the time” (Gal. 4:4). Praise Him! As we close the year of the Lord 2017 and enter the year of the Lord 2018, would you pray with us in such faith for Dr. Richard and RREACH?
Dr. Richard and the executive team have developed a plan to enhance the proclamation side of his ministry. A praise: God has already provided some of the strategic pieces! Please pray for:
effectively putting the plan into action
the right personnel
decisions regarding possible speaking engagements and product distribution
creative time for Dr. Richard
many to think and hear differently about the Lord Jesus Christ.
Two key ministry resource Web sites are set to launch January 1: LEADERREACH and GProLearning. LEADERREACH will feature short videos in which Dr. Richard answers questions about leadership. They are geared toward pastoral leaders, but contain insights for anyone in leadership. GProLearning is a library of globally-sourced, biblically sound pastoral training resources hand-picked from a variety of contexts and languages to fit all kinds of situations, learning styles and levels. Please pray for:
final details to come together
team speed and accuracy
smooth technical operations
many to be strengthened as they serve the Lord Jesus.
Dr. Richard says, "The providential hand of God cannot be stopped when His priorities are pursued with faith, vision, sacrifice and joy." Happy Year of the Lord 2018!
