Prayer Updates
Praising God for travel mercies; national GPAs; Congress needs | November 2, 2015
Dear praying friends,
A little over a week ago we asked you to pray because rain in Dallas had marooned Dr. Richard in South Carolina when he was scheduled to be leaving for Indonesia. Thank you for praying: after an overnight delay, God provided Dr. Richard a flight to Dallas and time to grab everything he needed before boarding his flight to Jakarta. Although sleep was scarce (he had three different countries and multiple meetings on his seven-day itinerary), he enjoyed times sharing the GProCongress with GPA grads and other leaders. Praise God for His goodness and please ask Him to sustain and continue to minister through Dr. Richard as he leaves for the Middle East this week.
Praise God for the completion of GPA Trinidad and Tobago and pray for the upcoming GPA Thailand, especially for 25 key young pastors to attend.
Please continue to lift up the need for the right speakers/presenters/discussion leaders for the GProCongress—185 in total. Though the event is issue-focused and results-oriented rather than speaker-driven, we desire the best people to facilitate and catalyze pastoral training for the long-term health of Christ’s Church worldwide.

Downpour delay; please pray | October 23, 2015
Praise God for watching over Dr. Richard, and pray, too. Dr. Richard is scheduled to leave Dallas for Indonesia at 6:40pm tomorrow for another key GProCongress vision trip. However, he is in South Carolina, and each flight he has gotten on today has been delayed and then canceled because of torrential rains. There is the possibility of a very early morning flight to Dallas tomorrow.
We know that our Sovereign God is not surprised and has plans to “do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us,” (as Dr. Richard has reminded us recently!)
Please pray for a safe, expedited journey to Dallas and then Indonesia for Dr. Richard, and praise God for what great things He will do. Dr. Richard may even get the opportunity to introduce someone specific to the Lord Jesus Christ because of the altered flights!
14 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.
20 Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, 21 to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen. Eph. 3:14-21 NASB

Praises from Montana; GPA Trinidad and Tobago | October 21, 2015
Dear praying friends,
We have much to praise God for! During a trip to Montana last week, Dr. Richard and Bonnie got to enjoy a couple of refreshing days amid the splendors of creation. Dr. Richard also spoke in three church services, met with church leaders, and spoke at an lovely, dinner event. Organizers estimate at least 12 people made written professions for the Lord Jesus Christ. Although brief, it was a wonderful respite from constant GProCongress intensity.
The Lord willing, Dr. Richard hopes to join Bonnie for a few days this week with their son Robby and his wife, Nathalie, and super-grandkids Joshua (5) and Emma (3) before leaving again on a three-country SE Asia sojourn to share the GProCongress vision with several groups. Praise God for these opportunities. Ask Him for joyful times with family and friends, travel and health mercies, and another wave of excitement about the Congress.
GPA Trinidad and Tobago started last Friday and is scheduled to wrap up Sunday, Oct. 25. Praise God for this opportunity for very focused connecting, uniting and strengthening, and pray for lasting fruit from it.
Thank you!

Serving in an Attitude of Praise | October 6, 2015
Dear praying friends,
“Who can list the glorious miracles of the Lord? Who can ever praise Him enough?” (Psalm 106:2 NLT) At the beginning of 2015, Dr. Richard expressed the desire that throughout the year RREACH would maintain an atmosphere of praise. From the perspective of praise, the steadily increasing responsibilities and challenges of the past nine months have been opportunities to grow in love, obedience and thanksgiving to our glorious and faithful Lord God. Your prayerful support is so essential in this. Thank you! Please keep on!
Join in giving thanks that Dr. Richard returned home safely from his Myanmar/Thailand/Canada trip, and that it was fruitful. We ask special intercession for a set of major GProCongress meetings this week. Much needs to be decided and done. Intercede for:
the Congress Core team
1,500 registrants by November 15
all 185 speaking/presenting slots to be strategically filled
generous giving to meet Congress preparation deadlines
Please also ask the Lord Jesus’ great favor and protection over the 248 Dallas GPA and 1,169 national GPA grads serving in more than 80 countries worldwide.
Finally, let us continue to lift our hearts with the Psalm 106 writer, saying, “Praise the Lord! Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! His faithful love endures forever” (v. 1).

Preaching lectures, GProCongress registration, GPA Lesotho | September 30, 2015
Dear praying friends,
This week Dr. Richard’s schedule includes preaching lectures at Heritage College and Seminary in the Toronto and Ottawa areas, as well as GProCongress vision-casting. Pray for the Lord to speak clearly through him, and for several possible individual contact opportunities in the area to mature. Next week, the Lord willing, the Congress Core team will convene in Dallas for several days of meetings. These are their final meetings for the year and much needs to be accomplished. Please begin praying now for their travel and time together.
Many Congress applicants are requesting prayer that they will be able to raise the money needed for registration fees and airfare to the Congress. Let’s ask the Lord to provide for them in special ways, as we do for delegates to the Dallas GPA. Ask Him to provide for RREACH, too, as we seek to cover all other Congress-related costs for these pastoral trainers. Pray also for our communication with those who have been accepted but need to finish the registration process.
GPA Lesotho delegates
Finally, praise God for a good start to GPA Lesotho! Pray for the 25 delegates’ connecting, uniting and strengthening throughout the week; graduation is scheduled for Oct. 3.
