Only God

RREACH’s first operational value is “Only God.” One way we recognize and live our dependence on Him is by beginning, covering and ending every aspect of ministry in prayer, with thanksgiving.
Dr. Richard says, “Prayer precedes ministry,” and as the Lord continues to open doors for his ministry, we realize afresh the need for prayer.
Please take a moment to pray and praise over the updates on this page, featuring a daily prayer calendar at the beginning of each month. Also let us know how we can pray for you!

Prayer Updates

2015 Dallas GPA has begun: Special request for week one | June 8, 2015

Dear Praying Friends:

"What you have heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus." 2 Timothy 1:13

Praise:

-For the safe arrival of all 26 pastors.

-That the one pastor who was feeling ill is better and the other pastor whose luggage was missing has arrived.

-For a wonderful opening day, making the pastors feel especially welcome and setting the tone for a good GPA experience.

-For the very practical study outline provided by Dr. Ramesh Richard that helps train our pastors in biblical preaching.

Pray:

-That the pastors would be encouraged by and attentive to the Master Coaches of the first week: Dr. Ramesh Richard, Dr. David Dockery, Dr. Bill Brown, Dr. George Murray and Dr. Bryan Chapell.

-For clarity and effectiveness of instruction from the Master Coaches.

-For the fellowship of the 2015 GPA pastors to overflow into lifelong ministry partnerships with each other and with previous GPA graduates.

-As each pastor gives a formal ministry report, for the entire group to be stirred to glorify God (cf. Acts 14:27.)

-That the time the pastors spend one-on-one will develop into rich bonds of personal and ministry partnerships.

-For wisdom as the pastors consider the best uses for the material they are gathering.

-For the lessons to speak to the personal heart of each pastor. May they sense the leading of the Spirit.

-For good attendance at Global Impact meals.

-That the remainder of Dallas GPA funding is received and that the Lord provides for half of the pastors’ airfare.

-That all events during the Dallas GPA will be well planned and attended.

-Protection over and unity among the RREACH staff.

Tremendous turnout of Nepali pastors; Dallas GPA about to begin | June 1, 2015

Dear praying friends,

Dr. Richard spent an intense and rewarding day with about 200 Nepali pastors and wives in Kathmandu last week. About 20 GPA Nepal graduates and four Dallas GPA graduates from Nepal were there and expressed deep thanks to him and to those behind the scenes who prayed and worked and gave to send him to minister to them at this very difficult time. Thank you for your part in blessing them.

GProCongress-driven engagements had Dr. Richard in Hong Kong on Sunday; he visits two more countries before he heads back for the Dallas GPA. Strides are being made toward securing a Program Manager by June 1. A significant portion of funds to resource the Congress is needed over the next 18 months, $5 million by the end of 2015. Please continue to pray over these.

The 2015 Dallas GPA—21 rigorous days—is just days away. Praise be to God, 26 candidates, five from new countries, now have visas! Some arrive, the Lord willing, in a few days. Pray the Lord’s protection and provision over them, their families and ministries, and the Master Coaches as they prepare and come. Please also ask protection and provision over the RREACH, GPA and DTS staff involved, and Dr. Richard and his family, who have had many rigorous days getting ready. Thank you!

Note from Ramesh as he begins 11-day, 4-country, 5-stop trip | May 26, 2015

Do pray for me, brothers and sisters:

I started an 11-day, 4-country, 5-stop tour early today. Pray for health and strength and favor and usefulness. If the Lord wills, I am hoping to be with about 100 Nepali pastors and wives for a day of encouragement on Thursday. May the Lord make it a mighty moment for His purposes.

We are planning to make a big mobilization push for the GProCongress starting June 1. I am to touch down in three countries for this. We are also on the verge of securing a Program Manager. Please pray for these and for additional progress in both public and private sides of the agenda.

Finally, pray that we will have 25 pastors at the Dallas GPA, starting June 7 and ending the 27th, when RREACH will launch the “Year of the Congress.” We have exactly 25 pastors with visas, but have lost 40%--15 carefully chosen pastors--to US visa issues, and only one more pastor can come in at this late date. Pray for his upcoming visa appointment. I wish for at least 25 to be there.

Grateful for all your support,

rr

Specific and timely prayer requests on behalf of Dr. Richard | May 19, 2015

Dear praying friends,

After an intense weekend of meetings related to the four-year follow-up of the GProCongress, Dr. Richard is off on another trip. In fact, between now and the beginning of the 2015 Dallas GPA, he expects to be home only three days. Would you please pray with us over the following?

At President Paul Nyquist’s invitation, Dr. Richard will be presenting the GProCongress during five 5-minute slots throughout the Moody Pastor’s Conference this week. Dr. Richard (and Brian Considine, mobilization director,) will have prime opportunities to share the Congress with potential attendees, networkers, staff, etc., and to make vital connections.

Nepal continues to quake, literally and figuratively, in the aftermath of the massive April 25 earthquake. The Lord willing, Dr. Richard will host a special half-day of encouragement for Nepali pastors and their wives May 29. Thanks to generous RREACH friends, we will also be able to provide each pastor’s family a precious, monetary encouragement, a small "love-gift."

Praise! Twenty-three pastors now have the visas they need to attend the Dallas GPA. Four more are still attempting to get theirs, which also complicates getting reasonably priced flights to Dallas. We want the Lord’s right 25 (or more) here.

GPA Cambodia is in full swing. They continue until May 23.

The RREACH and GProCongress teams need our Lord Jesus Christ’s total protection and global provision during the intense 20 days until the Dallas GPA and 392 days until the Global Proclamation Congress for Pastoral Trainers—as well as during and for following up each.

We are grateful for you and for your intercession. Know that we pray and praise on your behalf, too!

From Alpha to Zanzibar, GProCongress momentum rolls on | May 12, 2015

Dear praying friends,

God blessed Dr. Richard’s quick trip to the Alpha Leadership Conference 2015 in London for GProCongress mobilization with a number of strategic connections, while word continues to spread in remote areas, too. A professor from Kenya shared information about the Congress with about 60 extension trainers in Zanzibar. “The response was so encouraging,” he reported. “Twenty-five of them left me details for registration. The Zanzibar bishop is also excited about coming. Zanzibar has less than 100 churches with no Bible school for pastors. This might be the time to inspire them to train pastors.”

Concentrated prayer for the GProCongress remains a top priority. Please intercede for:

The GProCongress team – creativity, capacity, Christlikeness and coordination of schedules

Program development and a program manager

Funding to meet increased cash flow needs

GPA Benin has finished, while delegates are preparing for GPA Cambodia to convene May 14. Thank God for these servants and organizers and pray for their connecting, uniting and strengthening. Dallas GPA candidates continue to have trouble obtaining visas. Pastors CD, J and P from Asia, Latin America and Africa have upcoming visa appointments. Please earnestly pray for favor. Thank you!
