Only God

RREACH’s first operational value is “Only God.” One way we recognize and live our dependence on Him is by beginning, covering and ending every aspect of ministry in prayer, with thanksgiving.
Dr. Richard says, “Prayer precedes ministry,” and as the Lord continues to open doors for his ministry, we realize afresh the need for prayer.
Please take a moment to pray and praise over the updates on this page, featuring a daily prayer calendar at the beginning of each month. Also let us know how we can pray for you!

Prayer Updates

Dr. Richard returns from Asia; GPA Peru and GPA Indonesia coming soon | April 7, 2015

Dear praying friends,

Greetings in the name of our resurrected Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! We rejoice with you that because He lives, all who trust Him may live. Dr. Richard has just completed a two-week trip to Southeast Asia, where he had several engagements to proclaim that Good News. Some items to remember for prayer as he returns include:

Rapid recovery from the stress of travel

Clarity regarding the many opportunities that come his way

Preparation for upcoming talks, articles and other ministry engagements

Continued GProCongress program and partnership development

GPA Peru is scheduled for April 16 – 25 and GPA Indonesia for April 23 – May 2. Please pray for the organizers and those planning to attend, as well as their families and ministries.

Also specifically lift up those preparing for the 2015 Dallas GPA—the RREACH team, the pastors (especially with regard to visas and airfare), the Master Coaches, the host families, and many others who serve in different ways.

Hong Kong, the Philippines, now Thailand—praying Dr. Richard through his trip | March 31, 2015

Dear praying friends,

We’ve prayed him through hectic schedules in Hong Kong and the Philippines. The Lord Jesus graciously granted him numerous meaningful contacts and opportunities to proclaim His name. Now, Dr. Richard has landed in Bangkok for onsite GProCongress meetings. Much is yet to be done in the 441 days until June 15, 2016!

Please ask the Lord to streamline the team’s discussion, decisions and action directly toward extending, expanding and intensifying pastoral training efforts worldwide.

Pray for the Holy Spirit’s confirmation of the right person/s for and clear understanding of the critical role of Program leader.

Logistics—whether spreading the word about the Congress, running the application process, negotiating contracts, maintaining program security and viability, and many other nuts-and-bolts aspects—need total protection and global provision so that the entire GProCongress experience honors God.

We are deeply grateful for key leaders and organizations of the faith who are giving of their time, expertise and affirmation to this undertaking. Please pray for the Lord’s favor to be upon each.

New applications have been received recently from pastors in countries never before represented at the Dallas GPA, and several pastors already accepted are applying for visas in the next few days. Let’s continue to remember them and the entire upcoming Dallas GPA in prayer. Thank you!

Spiritual warfare in Dallas GPA and GProCongress preparation | March 27, 2015

Dear praying friends,

You’ve been praying with us over the devastation of physical war all over the world. Please also pray against the insidious spiritual warfare we face. Each year as the Dallas GPA nears, RREACH experiences a surge in challenges. This year, obstacles are compounding as GProCongress preparation intensifies. Would you ask the Lord’s total protection and global provision for Dr. Richard, RREACH and the GProCongress team in the following areas?

- Smooth operation of office equipment, computers and programs, Internet services, and communication systems

- Physical, spiritual, relational and mental endurance; travel mercies; safety

- Christ-honoring relationships – in ministry, family, organizational and public contexts

- Dallas GPA candidates – visa and travel arrangements, families, ministries

Dr. Richard is in South East Asia—right now in Manila, Philippines—for GProCongress vision-casting and several speaking engagements. On Monday, the Lord willing, he will head to Bangkok, Thailand, for GProCongress planning meetings. The team is excited to be meeting on-site.

Do also remember GPA Tanzania, which wraps up Saturday, March 28. Pray that these pastors will continue to grow in connection, unity and strengthening one another, for the sake of the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you!

GPA Tanzania underway; Dr. Richard set for “nonstop” 2-week trip through SE Asia | March 23, 2015

Dear praying friends,

God continues to sustain Dr. Richard through a demanding schedule (that is only going to get more so!) Over the past week he made strategic progress toward the GProCongress—now only 449 days away. He also prepared a deeply thoughtful piece on grappling with the atrocity of terrorism. Look for this important article in your upcoming RR Crossing newsletter, and pray for not only those undergoing appalling persecution, but also that testimony to the Savior will reach and transform the persecutors.

We also want to let you know God is granting favor to your (and our) prayers:

14 Dallas GPA candidates have received visas, including one previously denied; eight more have appointments. We continue asking the Lord for the right 25 pastors, at least five from new countries.

Despite one car full of pastors breaking down on the way, GPA Tanzania has begun with 34 delegates. Pray for special connections, unity and strengthening. These elements are strategic to the uniqueness and effectiveness of all GPAs.

Dr. Richard is scheduled to speak at multiple events and has important GProCongress engagements over a two-week, three-country, four-stop sprint through Southeast Asia.

Intercede for a Program leader to join the GProCongress team at their on-site meetings March 30 – April 2.

GPA Nicaragua completed; GPA Tanzania starting this week; and more | March 16, 2015

 Dear praying friends,

Each day brings new matters for praise and prayer. Thank you for undertaking this vital ministry on Dr. Ramesh Richard’s and RREACH’s behalf. Here are a few items for your intercession this week:

GPA Nicaragua graduated 25 fine young pastors last week! Many are fairly young in ministry and in faith. Praise God for their connecting, uniting and strengthening, and pray for continued growth in these areas.

GPA Tanzania is set to begin this Thursday, March 19. National GPA Coordinator Rajiv Richard leaves for Africa tomorrow. Pray that this special set of men will connect, unite and be strengthened.

2015 Dallas GPA candidates from Nigeria and Cambodia have received visas! Four more pastors have visa appointments this week; some still need to make appointments. Timely visa applications help us obtain better airfares (and each pastor is responsible for one half of his airfare).

The GProCongress Program Leader is one of Dr. Richard’s most pressing prayer requests. We would like to have this person in place by April 1. Please ask the Lord to provide.

Dr. Richard has a busy week and two Sunday morning messages to deliver before he takes off next Monday, March 23, the Lord willing, for a jam-packed trip across Asia. He praises God for the medical help his daughter, Sitara, received while battling a serious infection last week, and is grateful for each who prayed and sent encouragement.

Severe attacks on Christians in the Middle East continue. One 2015 Dallas GPA candidate from the region sent the following note on Sunday, 3/15: Please pray for the people whose relatives were killed and injured in suicide attacks on churches. My own house is very near one of the affected churches. I had gone for Sunday service and my wife was at home. She is traumatized and very shocked. Please pray for our family as well.

We appreciate your faith-full, persevering prayerfulness!
