Prayer Updates
Welcome | August 26, 2013
Dear friends,
Greetings on behalf of Dr. Ramesh Richard. I want to welcome you to our prayer site, which has three distinct focuses:
1. We want to share up-to-date prayer requests with you.
We hope you will subscribe to be notified when a new request is added, or check back often to see how you can partner with Dr. Richard and RREACH in prayer.
2. We want to hear from you!
Use the comment section to let Dr. Richard know you are praying for him. This is a great encouragement as we run this race together.
3. We want to pray for you.
Our internal staff breaks every afternoon to pray over ministry-specific requests. We desire to lift you up in prayer, so please use this blog as a way to submit your own prayer requests. We are honored to pray for you.

Urgent request: Pastors and Christians in Egypt | August 14, 2013
Dear Friends,
Greetings on behalf of Dr. Ramesh Richard. You have no doubt heard of the violence taking place in Egypt, a country in which RREACH has been blessed to minister over the years. We have received requests from some of the pastors there, which are listed below.
Please join Dr. Richard, the RREACH board and the RREACH staff as we pray for Egyptian pastors and Christians - including those who have touched and been touched by RREACH (550 pastors from 19 denominations at a pastors conference a few years ago and 18 young, lead pastors at GPA Egypt last year.)
The situation:
Amidst protests by supporters of ousted President Mohammed Morsi, churches and Christian businesses and homes are under attack in multiple cities in Egypt. Protestors are throwing stones and Molotov cocktails at churches, and there are reports that Christians' homes have been burned.
The police and army are trying to maintain safety for all people and to disperse the protestors peacefully. In some areas these protests have been going on for up to six weeks, blocking roads and causing a great amount of suffering for people in those neighborhoods and those who commute through those neighborhoods.
Please pray:
That the situation will calm down and violence would cease
For wisdom for the police and army
For the safety of all churches and congregations
For strength and protection for Christians in Egypt, especially for pastors there
For His glory,
Edie Ross

Urgent request: National GPAs and safety | August 3, 2013
Dear Friends,
Please join us in praying over an urgent matter. Two in our RREACH family are traveling to Asia and Africa this week for national GPAs in regions under a new worldwide travel alert. The alert warns of potential terrorist attacks in August, particularly in the Middle East and North Africa. Our contacts in Asia indicate that the country is experiencing "major problems." Please pray for the national GPAs and for our colleagues as they travel to and from these tense regions.
UPDATE: Our colleagues were able to safely enter and leave the country. Praise God with us!

Praise report: Balkan States trip | August 2, 2013
Dear Friends,
Greetings on behalf of Dr. Ramesh Richard! Please accept our deep thanks for praying for Ramesh Richard during his seven-day trip to the Balkan States in Southeastern Europe.
The Lord used His servant in wonderful ways during the trip. I'm happy to share some praises with you!
Dr. Richard began his time teaching at GPA Balkan States, which included 27 pastors from the countries of Montenegro, Serbia, Kosovo, Albania, Bosnia and Macedonia.
In this war-torn region that has experienced social oppression, ethnic cleansing and betrayal, many of the pastors were cautious at first when getting to know each other.
On the first Sunday, three pastors from different countries--all had served in the military during the same time period--shared their life-stories. One pastor who served in the Bosnian Special Forces spoke about dodging land mines during the war. His fellow pastor from a different country said, "I was putting in those land mines."
After sharing, the three pastors knelt and prayed together with all the other pastors surrounding them.
Praise God, the walls within Christ's Church in that region are coming down. The pastors who attended said they appreciated RREACH's work, adding, "this has opened our eyes to what it is to study and preach the Scriptures."
Praise the Lord for two powerful media opportunities for Dr. Richard to present Christ: while in Montenegro, the least-evangelized country in Southeastern Europe, a nationally televised interview; and the next day, in Serbia, an hour-long interview on Orthodox Radio, with two million listeners. Dr. Richard continually weaved in salvation by grace through faith, and his interviewer, a fine Orthodox theologian, seemed so encouraged that he came to the evangelistic meeting that evening.
Give thanks to God for two evangelistic dinners at which Dr. Richard spoke. The first was attended by 30 business professionals in Montenegro. Thirteen were pre-Christian and two trusted in the Lord Jesus! In Serbia, Dr. Richard gave an evangelistic address at a coffee shop where they expected 20 to come and 85 showed up.
Thank you again for your continued prayers for RREACH and Dr. Richard!

Ramesh Richard's trip to the Balkan States | July 17, 2013
Dear Friends,
Greetings on behalf of Dr. Ramesh Richard!
Would you join us in prayer for Dr. Richard's seven-day trip and strategic ministry opportunities in the Balkan States of Southeastern Europe?
Please pray for his travel--he started by traveling for more than 24 hours before he reached his destination--and for his time spent ministering in several countries, including Montenegro and Serbia. Also pray for endurance as his schedule is very full.
Please specifically pray for the following:
July 17-18
Dr. Richard will be conducting sessions at GPA Balkan States and speaking at their graduation. Twenty-six pastors from six countries have gathered.
July 18
- Dr. Richard will be doing a nationally-televised interview 1500h-1930h in Montenegro, the least-evangelized country in Southeastern Europe.
- Thirty minutes after the television interview he is scheduled to deliver a pre-evangelistic address to business professionals in Podgorica, Montenegro. Time for Q&A and personal interaction with those interested is planned. Pray that more than half of the audience are unbelievers, and for open hearts and minds.
July 19
Dr. Richard's day, in brief, consists of:
- Meeting with deputy minister of Serbian police and person in charge of anti-corruption strategy in Serbia
- Possible meeting with the Royal family
- Interview on Orthodox Radio, two million listeners
- Meeting with pastors from South Serbia
- Evangelistic dinner
Pray that unbelievers at the evangelistic dinner would see their need for Christ.
We close with praise for these opportunities and a special praise from Dr. Richard. He rejoices that a sharp young restaurant worker he met on the beach there has chosen to follow the Lord Jesus. Please pray for follow-up.
Thank you for praying with us.
For His glory,
Edie Ross
