INTRODUCTION OF DR. RAMESH RICHARD

God has permitted Dr. Ramesh Richard, founder and president of RREACH (Ramesh Richard Evangelism and Church Health) and professor of Global Theological Engagement and Pastoral Ministries at Dallas Theological Seminary, to serve as a global spokesman for the Lord Jesus Christ. A global proclamation ministry, RREACH envisions changing the way One Billion Individuals think and hear about the Lord Jesus Christ, through evangelizing opinion leaders and strengthening pastoral leaders, primarily of Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

Dr. Richard travels the world clarifying the Bible’s message to audiences ranging from nonChristian university intellectuals to undertrained rural pastors, from gatherings of a few to crowds of thousands. He has exposed many of society’s opinion leaders, people of influence and affluence, to the good news of Jesus Christ and trained thousands of church leaders in more than 100 countries to preach, live and think biblically. He had the privilege of addressing presidents/heads of state, secretaries of state, and ambassadors of state of 53 African nations in Khartoum, Sudan, at the 4th annual African Union Heads of State Prayer Breakfast. He also addressed an audience of 200 ambassadors and world leaders as the keynote speaker for the 23rd annual International Prayer Breakfast at the United Nations in New York City.

In 1997, he founded TOPIC (Trainers of Pastors International Coalition) to champion nonformal pastor training. In 2005, in partnership with Dallas Seminary, RREACH launched the Dallas Global Proclamation Academy (GProAcademy) to equip young pastors all over the world. In 2010, Dr. Richard launched the Global Proclamation Commission (GProCommission), a sector-neutral, global instrument propelling pastor-training initiatives and platforming pastortraining hubs, networks, and coalitions. The GProCommission set a goal of reducing the deficit of trained pastors worldwide by 5%—100,000 pastoral leaders—by 2020. In 2016, Dr. Richard convened the first Global Proclamation Congress for Pastoral Trainers (GProCongress I) in Bangkok, Thailand. RREACH received, vetted, and documented reports from numerous sister ministries showing 280,000+ pastoral leaders better trained.

The GProCommission has now launched a second decade-long human capital campaign (RREACHABILITY 2030). RREACH seeks to connect, unite, and strengthen 100,000 pastor trainers from and toward training one million pastoral leaders by 2030, thus reducing the worldwide pastor training deficit by 30% to 50%. To that end, Dr. Richard convened GProCongress II in Panama City, Panama in 2023.

Dr. Richard holds a ThD in Systematic Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, and a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Delhi. He and his wife, Bonnie, live in Dallas, Texas, and have three children and three grandchildren.
